Aurora was born in Porto from a simple idea: a place where coffee tastes like coffee, the bread comes out of the oven in the morning and nobody watches the clock. We still work that way.
2017
We opened with the door wide and no sign. The coffee came from a friendly roaster, the croissants were made in our own kitchen and the brunch menu fitted on a single sheet. The neighbours stayed, and came back with their friends.
2020
We bought a small roaster and learned to respect every batch. Today we taste everything before serving, and the house blend changes with the season, not with the sales calendar.
Today
We have a terrace, a team of twelve and a pastry kitchen with our own recipes. What hasn't changed: the first batch at seven in the morning and a table always kept for anyone who turns up without a booking.

Groups of more than 8: please call us. We hold the table for 15 minutes.
We'll be expecting you. In a real café, you'd get the confirmation by text message to the number provided.
